Students of India is a space where being human comes first. Behind every rank, every exam, every “what’s next?”, there’s a person with dreams, doubts, friendships, passions, and stories that deserve to be heard.
Our vision is to build a community where students, former students, parents, and teachers can pause, reflect, and feel less alone. A space where struggles are shared honestly but joy is celebrated just as deeply, where stories of failing, healing, growing, and rediscovering purpose are told side by side with stories of laughter, belonging, and pride.
Because student life is not just about surviving, it’s also about discovering who you are.
In the 19th century, Rajah Ram Mohan Roy stood against the tide of oppressive traditions. He challenged practices that robbed people of their dignity and right to live fully. He believed that education was the key to freeing the mind from ignorance and blind tradition. Roy dreamed of an India where education sets people free – free to think, to question, to grow.
In his own words (paraphrased from his petitions and writings), he argued that “education should awaken reason, broaden perspectives, and empower individuals to question injustice.
Students of India carries forward that same spirit. We are here to question the silent pressures, to challenge the idea that a student’s worth is defined by ranks and expectations. But more than that, we are here to listen, support, and help amplify what matters. Because not every story fits into a neat box. Sometimes they’re about failing. Sometimes they’re about finding joy in unexpected places. Sometimes they’re about a teacher or friend who helped you find your way when you were lost.
This is what Students of India is for.
